Gov. Polis to Extend Face Mask Requirements for Another 30 Days
Whether you enjoy wearing a face mask or not it seems like they won't be going away anytime soon as Governor Polis said this afternoon that he will be renewing Colorado's face mask requirements for another 30 days. His previous order was set to expire this week, but now it looks like we need to continue to keep masks with us.
Obviously, this is not going to make everyone happy but these are the guidelines that we are being asked to follow at this time. While discussing why he wants to extend the face masks requirements Governor Polis spoke about how it's one of the most important tools we have for fighting COVID-19.
Governor Polis went on to talk about how important it is to the Colorado economy for businesses to stay open but the only way to do that safely is to continue wearing masks so no more businesses need to shut down due to the virus spreading.
A direct quote from Governor Polis was, "If you care about science, you care about your family, wear a damn mask."
It will be interesting to see how Coloradans take this news because it seems like more and more people are not wearing masks compared to when the pandemic first began back in March.
And there are some people that are so mad with how Governor Polis has handled things here in Colorado they are calling for him to be thrown out of office. I'm not sure if that will happen but I do know that for now we will be required to keep wearing these masks.
