Girl Abducted From Tennessee Found Safe Near Clifton
A 2-year-old girl abducted from Tennessee has been found safe near Clifton. Officers and Deputies from the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, Grand Junction Police Department, and Palisade Police Department, have located the suspect wanted for the girl's abduction.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation contacted the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center last night (August 17) about the possibility the girl might be in Mesa County.
Local law enforcement found the suspect's vehicle on I-70 near Exit 37. The suspect, 35-year-old Michael Wilson, was sought by the FBI for the abduction out of Bradley County, Tennessee.
Wilson is in custody on an arrest warrant relating to the case. The victim, Wilson's daughter, appears unharmed. The 2-year-old has been turned over to the Mesa County Department of Human Services.
