Some positive things are happening at the Fruita Community Center.

Obviously, over the past year, things have been far from normal in the world - and at the Fruita Community Center, but there is good news to report.

For starters, visitors to the FCC are going to have more time to enjoy the facility.  The center is now open until 8:00pm Monday through Thursday. That means more time to play, workout, and swim.

Something else that is going to be welcome news is the opening of the hot tub. You can reserve a time using the FCC's Sign Up Genius. There's just nothing like relaxing in the hot tub after a hard day's work or a good workout. Each reserved time is for 25 minutes, which means you get two 10-minute sessions with a 5-minute break in between. You can sign up for one time slot per day.

Another development at the Fruita Community Center is the return of water aerobics. You can check out the schedule and sign up for a class on the Fruita Parks and Rec web page. The classes have limited capacities and are available by reservation only.

So far it's been a pretty mild winter in western Colorado, but it's wonderful for Fruita-area residents to have an indoor recreational facility available no matter what the weather is doing. The Fruita Community Center is open seven days a week.
