In case you didn't know, the flu is going around and that's not good news for those that happen to work in the five worst jobs during the flu season.

Obviously, anyone can get the flu regardless of their occupation, but there are some jobs that just lend themselves to sickness, and it's a wonder these people aren't sick all the time.

1) School Nurse - and teachers for that matter, who are in constant contact with so many students, many of which come to school with colds and flu and pass along their illness to countless others.

2) Cashier - Imagine all of the people a cashier comes in contact during the course of a day, touching  them, and their money, being breathed on, coughed on, and sneezed on.

3) Bus Driver - They work in confined quarters, and like cashiers, come in contact with a lot of people during the course of the day who may be carrying all kinds of sickness.

4) Receptionists - The first line of defense for many offices are these poor souls who greet customers and patients in doctors' offices. They greet customers and patients with a smile, all the while hoping not to catch what's going around.

5)Doctors - These are the ones who are treating the sick people, getting up close and personal. How are doctors not sick all the time? Come to think of it, I don't think I have ever had a doctor visit where the doc seemed to be suffering from a cold. What's their secret?

I have a great appreciation for all of these workers who put themselves in peril each and every day, while the rest of us cower away in the safety and confines of our offices waiting for spring to get here.
