Dog Dies in Hot Car in Colorado
A couple that left their dog in a hot car while they went to eat at a restaurant in Westminster has died.
According to the Denver Channel, the couple parked their car with the dog inside in a shaded area, with the windows halfway down and water was not enough to keep the dog from suffering the summer heat which reached 97 degrees in the city of Westminster on Tuesday.
When the couple came back to the car, they found their dog unresponsive and tried to revive the dog unsuccessfully. They then took the dog to the veterinarian where the dog was pronounced dead.
The couple's identity has not been released and both have been served a summons for animal cruelty.
