Colorado isn't known for scuba diving - or sharks - but did you know you can scuba dive with sharks in Colorado?

The idea of scuba diving with sharks in Colorado seems as unnatural as a fish out of water, but in the right place at the right time, it is more than possible.

The right place happens to be the Downtown Aquarium in Denver.

The aquarium is a great place to view fish and other animals from ocean habitats, but it's also a great place to get up close to them.

The Shark Cage Experience is a new feature at the Downtown Aquarium. It sounds like a great thrill for adventure seekers. You can take the plunge in the shark cage and get up close to Sand Tiger sharks, Sandbar sharks, Zebra sharks, Blacktip sharks and Bamboo sharks, and hundreds of other fish. For $100  you can spend about 20 minutes in the water with these amazing sea creatures.

The age requirement for the shark dive is 8 and older. No diving certification is required, and they provide everything you need.

It's not like you are getting up close to a Great White, like in Jaws, but, still, diving with these sharks and other fish has to be the coolest thing you'll do this summer in Colorado.
