It is National Coffee Day! There is nothing that makes me happier than a fresh, hot cup of java! This weekend I made it my goal to sample not only coffee, but local Grand Junction coffee shops to see what this amazing city has to offer. I found some real winners! See if you agree! Here are my top places I found!

This is the Traders Coffee on Paterson Road. The selections and freshness of the coffee at this amazing little shop is pretty darn tasty. Plus the customer service and smiles are miles long! With free Wi-Fi, it is also a great place to just chill and enjoy a bit of your time.

I think this title says it all. Roasted on the corner of 5th and Colorado. This is the sign out in front and it is no lie! This group of fine folks, brew up fun in a cup of coffee. I had a mocha cappuccino with an extra shot of espresso, and I was definitely set up for the rest of this adventure.

I thought I would include an extra photo of the people at Roasted. Just to show you how many coffee lovers here in Grand Junction we have!

As I moved on throughout the weekend of my coffee extravaganza, I was told of a place to try, this would be Main Street Bagels. My first thought was, really?! But I took the challenge and marched myself up to the counter and asked for the best coffee they had. Needless to say, I got a flavorful cup of coffee that was a blended dark roast that was yummy!

As I continued my walk around town, I turned the corner to hear a group of people. They were laughing, talking and seemed to be having a great time! Me being me, I had to be nosey. As I approached, what so I spy with my little eye? Another coffee shop. Downtown Coffee. As you can see from the photo, we had a good time! Yes, the coffee was great, I had 2 LOL.

As I finished my coffee downtown, needless to say, a little too happy from all the caffeine! The gentleman who I was speaking with told me to find an Octopus. My first thought was "this guy has had too much of something." He said, "no Octopus Coffee." So needless to say, I got directions to this amazing shop and again, set forth to get another cup of amazing joe.

Yep, it really does exist! Octopus Coffee! Check this out. A drive-up coffee shop with a fun colored building and lots of coffee choices! I decided to go iced this time and had a mint mocha chilled and blended coffee! I was more than happy! Fast service and just an over the top fun experience.

As one amazing, caffeine filled, over excited and jittery Dave weekend came to a close, my final stop took me to Jitterz, how appropriate. Located right off of North Ave, this was a surprise! For a very little building, it sure had one huge menu of coffee items! I was again, impressed.

If you are anything like me and love coffee, I would enjoy hearing your favorite coffee spots! Heck, I will even go with you! Just tell me where they are, and I am on my way!!
