CSU Gives An Update on Penguins Treated For Cataracts
Last month, Colorado State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital welcomed two penguins from the Pueblo Zoo: Benny and Sally, who suffered from a common affliction that even humans deal with: cataracts!
As animals age, it becomes harder for them to defend themselves in the wild, so studies are being done on animals not in the wild to see how they benefit from surgeries such as this one. Cataract removal to improve the lives of penguins like these two is nothing new, but it is adorable to see the penguins thriving after their procedure.

Knowing that Benny is already working for his food is all the cuteness I needed to start my Wednesday off right.
