After the Paris Attacks, many U.S. states have spoken up regarding letting Syrian refugees into the country, or their state. Colorado's doors remain open.

KREX reports that Governor Hickenlooper released a statement that says that he will be working with the federal government. Hickenlooper went on to say that he would:

On the other side of that coin, Congressman Scott Tipton, disagrees with Hickenlooper's decision saying that:

Tipton went on to say that there are no government records or databases in Syria to confirm the identities of the refugees who are being admitted according to the Chairman of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence.

Tipton stands firm by saying:

The Refugee Act of 1980, says that governors cannot legally block refugees from entering their states, as the authority lies with the federal government.
