There are many people here in Grand Junction who is less fortunate, and homeless. The Colorado Legislature is attempting to help the homeless people in the state the right to rest in public, with a "Homeless Persons' Bill of Rights".

What this provides to those in our area is the right to eat and accept food along with being able to keep the belongings they have private and the ability to seek some assistance from the court systems if they feel those right have been violated in any way. According to the bill, the definition of rest is defined as sitting, standing, leaning, kneeling, squatting, sleeping or laying down. This attempt by the Legislature is to ease the stress on the less fortunate and provide legal rights which they do not have at this time.
