The Discovery Channel is heading to the Rocky Mountains for their newest show.

Titled "Reclaimed," the series follows Colorado-based hosts Alex Charvat and Kevin Gilman as they try to "fix-up" Colorado's abandoned mines.

According to The Denver Post, the show will have an old-time charm, harking back to the excitement of the Gold Rush and the ruggedness of the Wild West.

Charvat and Gilman consider themselves to be expert builders, with experience in engineering and mining.

The series will take a similar approach to the shows on HGTV, showing the hosts determining the property value, bargaining for a good price, and improving the mine.

However, the team must follow the regulations set by the Mining Safety and Health Administration, making it difficult for them to completely renovate an abandoned mine.

While mining is risky, Charvat believes that he and Gilman are prepared to take on the challenge, noting that it's much safer now that it was 150 years ago.

He is also excited about possible discoveries, stating that they've been paid in gold and silver before on previous mining jobs.

Television watchers aren't the only ones excited for the new show — nearby towns have expressed excitement about the tourism the series could bring.

"Reclaimed" premieres at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 9 on The Discovery Channel.
