A family from Texas call themselves medial refugees. They have left the state and have relocated to Colorado Springs to help save the life of their 5 year old daughter.

KHOU-TVis reporting that a 5-year-old girl is now living with her family in Colorado Springs.  The family chose to move to Colorado in fear that the kindergartner might warrant a felony in Texas.

Hannah Loew, is a child who suffers from a severe form of epilepsy. Marijuana helps her. According to Amber and Paul Loew, Hannah has been suffering from seizures every day for all her life so far. Hey has tried other types of medical remedies and they have never completely worked.

The family decided to pack everyone up, and move to Colorado Springs. Amber Loew went on to say:

They moved in March 2014. Hannah received her first dose of cannabis oil in April.

Texas Governor, Greg Abbott, signed a law legalizing the limited use of marijuana for severe epilepsy; the law allows a CBD to THC ratio only up to 20 to 1.

Amber Loew says only an extra dose of THC has proven effective to control or limit Hannah’s seizures:

Hannah now attends an all-day kindergarten class in Colorado Springs, with the help of a Medicaid-paid nurse.

Paul Loew said that Hannah is now able to be a kid again.

For the sake of Hannah, they will remain in Colorado and have not been able to see any Texas relatives in over a year.

This is a car ride to kindergarten her parents wish was possible back home in Texas.
