Colorado Human Trafficker Gets 304 Years in Prison

A man accused of 13 counts of human sex trafficking has just been sentenced to serve 304 years in prison.

The man, 30-year-old Chauncey Price, is said to have posted ads online offering sex acts from many women and young girls, then pairing up the victims with solicitors in hotel rooms.

Colorado's 18th Judicial District Attorney's Office described the way Price ran his sex trafficking ring in an official press release earlier today (Thursday, October 15):

He and his associates placed online ads offering the women and girls, then rented hotel rooms for the sex acts.

The 304-year sentence is one of the longest handed down for human trafficking in Colorado's history and is so hefty partially due to Price also being charged with printing counterfeit money, as well as four previous felonies which include burglary.

Douglas County Senior Deputy District Attorney Kelley Dziedzic provided a statement during the sentencing:

Any reasonable good person would have looked at these victims and would have extended sympathy or empathy, but Price only looked at them and saw opportunity. His victims will live with the repercussions of his actions for the rest of their lives. They have a lifelong struggle ahead of them

Although the exact number of women trafficked by Price is unclear, three of his victims testified prior to the sentencing saying that he "exploited young girls, controlled them and manipulated them."

During Price's sentencing, the judge referred to Price as a "master at victimizing women."

Although a tragic story, luckily Price will be spending the rest of his life behind bars and will not have the opportunity to exploit and damage any more women or girls.
