As the International Space station orbits the earth, the American astronaut currently aboard has been snapping pictures of the earth like a tourist including one that shows Denver and other cities on the Front Range.

NASA Astronaut Shane Kimbrough is part of the Expedition 49-50 crew that includes Russian Cosmonauts Sergey Rhyzikov and Andrey Borisenko.

The trio rocketed into space from Kazakhstan on October 19, 2016, aboard the Soyuz MS-02 spacecraft for a four-month mission.

While they're orbiting the earth, we get to enjoy some pictures from space including Kimbrough's photo of Denver (in the middle), Colorado Springs (at the very bottom), Greeley-Ft.Collins and Cheyenne, Wyo. (very top) taken last Thursday (February 9).
