Where Will the Teen Academies Be?

This year there will be three locations that high school teens can visit to learn about FBI career options, hear a case presentation, participate in interactive Evidence Response and SWAT demonstrations and learn about online safety.

The location and dates for the Academy are:

  • Casper, Wyoming – June 11, 2022
  • Cheyenne, Wyoming – July 9, 2022
  • Durango, Colorado – Sept. 17, 2022

How to Sign Up for the Teen FBI Academy

Just like joining the real FBI, space is limited! If your teen wants to participate, then they need to sign up quickly.

Each session will only admit 30 to 40 applicants. Applications and deadlines for the Teen Academies can be found on the FBI Denver’s website.

There will also be two Cybersecurity Teen Boot Camps in Denver. The dates are as follows:

  • June 21, 2022
  • July 19, 2022

The teens will participate in a 5-hour session where they will hear presentations on cyber security/privacy and have hands-on training with a MacBook Pro, virtual Windows 10 PC, iPhone 11, and a Google Pixel phone.

The Cybersecurity Teen Boot Camps will only accept ten students per session, so just 20 students total.

Space is extremely limited and if your teen wants to participate in the cybersecurity boot camp then they must email the Community Outreach Specialist Leah Hapner at dn_outreach@fbi.gov with the following information by May 27, 2022:

  • Name
  • Birthdate
  • School Name
  • 2021-2022 grade/year in school
  • Contact email (ensure email address will be accessible during the summer)
  • Phone number

This could be the start of something big for your teen and is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience.
