Couple Elopes at Grays Peak Summit, Hikes Down in Wedding Attire

COVID-19 messed up brides' plans across the globe, but one couple decided that they were going to use this time of social distancing to elope in the most Colorado way.

Sunday, June 7, at the highest summit of the Front Range and highest point of the Continental Divide, a couple said their "I dos." And luckily, the groom has a Reddit account, so we got to see an amazing picture of the touching moment.

The bride and groom wore regular hiking clothes on the way up to Gray's Peak at sunrise, changed at the summit and then held their own ceremony.

But as if that wasn't cute and Colorado enough, the couple then wore their wedding clothes on the hike back down, saying that "it was too cold to change back."

The couple met on the dating app "Hinge". Since they both love the outdoors and adventures the two decided to elope on a 14er after their wedding plans were hindered by the pandemic.

The newly weds don't have set honeymoon plans because the elopement wasn't premeditated, but the couple plans to hike back every anniversary.
