Is Paid Parking Coming Back to Colorado’s Budweiser Events Center?
I really enjoy going to an event at the Budweiser Events Center. It's close to Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Greeley, and Johnstown. That means I don't have to spend an hour in traffic defensively driving up and down Interstate 25. To top it off, one of the best amenities of the Budweiser Events Center is that you don't have to pay to park.
Parking at the Budweiser Events Center
The parking lot at the Budweiser Events Center is huge, but still close to the venue. Sure, if you get there later than everyone else, you are going to have to circle the lot a bit to find a space, but at least you don't have to park six blocks away and walk in the winter.

Free parking could be a thing of the past soon at the Budweiser Events Center
According to the Coloradoan, free parking could be going away at the Budweiser Events Center as soon as August 2023 after the Larimer County Fair and Rodeo. Larimer County staff are revisiting the idea of paid parking to make the venue self-supporting, financially, by 2039. Why 2039? That is the year that the sale and use tax that supports the fairgrounds and the Budweiser Events Center expires.
How Much Could It Cost to Park at the Budweiser Events Center?
The proposal would charge anywhere from $5 to $15 per car depending on the event taking place at the venue.
- Community events - $5
- Hockey games and other family events - $10
- Concerts - $15
- Prepaid parking rates range from $5 to $10
Conor McGrath, Larimer County Fairgrounds manager, told the Coloradoan that he hopes to return to the commissioners in mid-June for approval on the parking plan.
