Clifton Shooting Ruled A Murder-Suicide
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office has announced their findings concerning the double shooting Monday in Clifton.
The shooting took place in the early morning hours on Monday and when authorities reached the scene they found two men dead from gunshot wounds.
The two men were identified by the Coroner as 30-year-old Richard Garcia, Jr. and 47-year-old Stephen Summers.
The Coroner further determined that Richard, who was Summers' step-son was shot in the head and torso by a shotgun by Summers, who then turned the weapon on himself.
The Sheriff's office states it appears to be an isolated incident and that there are no suspects being sought, although they are awaiting toxicology tests.
The two were found dead in the house in the 400 Block of Lois Street in Clifton early Monday morning.
