Grand Junction's Central High School is one Shelter in Place due to police activity in the area.

UPDATE 1:22 p.m. March 28: Central High School has been evacuated. Police remain on scene doing routine searches.

According to reports from KKCO, the school went into Shelter in Place around 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, with reports coming in that Central, is on full lockdown.

Additionally, Grand Junction High School has also been placed on Shelter in Place due to law enforcement activity as well as Grand Mesa Middle School.

Authorities are currently working on an evacuation plan. Students will be evacuated to Palisade High School where parents can meet them.
