If your cell phone rings once and you don't recognize the number, don't call it back, it may cost you $30!

I get random calls on my cell phone all the time!

Once I got a random text on the way to a party that said, "Party at new location . . . " Problem was when I got to the new address I didn't know anyone there! Apparently they sent it to me by accident and my party was still going on across town!

The Better Business Bureau is warning that those wrong numbers may cost you CASH!

A lot of us will immediately dial a number back when we miss a call; it could be your long lost love, it could be an amazing job offer, or even your local DJs calling to tell you you've won, right?!

But I was just reading on the Consumerist-that is the last thing you want to do!

Scammers apparently have a new thing that can call thousands of random numbers, then disconnect after one ring.

The catch, the number it's coming from LOOKS local, but it's really an international call  and you'll be charged $19.95 to make the connection, that's $9 per minute!

Sounds all a little crazy to me, but if the BBB is on it you know it's gotta be real. Right?

Well not according to one of our listeners, Joel who says; the Phone Scam is a Scam, sorry!" along with a link to the facts from Snopes!
