The Cameron Peak Fire is causing evacuations for some Larimer county residents and businesses.

A closure order will be put in place on Friday.

On Thursday, an evacuation order was sent out to 600 devices according to 4 CBS Denver.

Here's part of that text alert:

"The Larimer County Sheriff's Office issued a mandatory evacuation order for nearby businesses and residences. If you live or work in the area of Highway 14 and County Road 102 North to Four Corners, as well as the areas around Chambers Lake should evacuate the area as quickly as possible."

"For Updates text the word LCEVAC to 888777 from your cell phone."

"You will need to travel North into Wyoming for safety reasons."

Here is the latest update as of 7 a.m. on Friday.

What started the fire is being investigated. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment issued a warning about air quality from the Cameron Peak Fire on Thursday evening.

I opened my windows in Windsor on Thursday around 6 p.m. because there was a nice breeze but I quickly closed them when an obvious musky odor filled my home.

I have seen people posting footage of this fire all over Facebook and it looks pretty massive. Stay safe out there NoCo.
