Two California men who were traveling together have been arrested on felony drug charges.Manuel Campos and Irvin Fabian Torres were arrested for  hauling 7 pounds of meth on Interstate 70. The value of the drugs was listed at $500,000 according to the Mesa County Sheriffs Department.

The Colorado Drug Task Force officer stopped the pickup the men were driving early Friday morning on eastbound Interstate 70 near Loma.

The officer found a small amount of marijuana in the glove compartment. While checking the spare tire under the truck and struck it with his flashlight, hearing a “thud” that indicated something was inside the tire and removed seven plastic-wrapped packages containing meth.
