Boba tea, also known as bubble tea, has been a favorite for years. Bigger cities have a multitude of options for boba tea and Grand Junction is finally catching up.

Mountain Ground Coffee Company is launching their official boba menu Monday, April 4. They had a soft opening of boba tea a couple of months ago to test it out and it has been a huge success. In the last couple of months, they have been creating more teas and blenders that taste especially good with boba.

They have the classic taro tea, along with countless others. The Mountain Grind boba menu includes milk teas, exotic blenders, cream blenders, and coffee blenders. They can also add boba to any drink.

Boba Tea/Bubble Tea is a Taiwanese originated tea drink introduced in Taichung in the 1980's. Some call it the soda or coffee of Taiwan because it's on almost every street corner. The bubbles (tapioca balls) are what make this drink unique. The marble-sized bubbles collect at the bottom of the drink and can be sucked up through an extra large straw.
