Spelling can be tough, but sometimes speaking is even tougher. There are just some words that we struggle to get right. Are you guilty of mispronouncing these common words?
There are common, everyday words that a lot of people are saying wrong -- and they don't realize it. And, so, it is our job today to lend a helping hand to the misinformed of the world.
For example, when talking about their attire, how many people actually pronounce the "th" in the word clothes? Not many, which is okay -because according to Dictionary.com khloz and khlothz are both acceptable.
But with a word like probably, there is only one way to say it. It's not pronounced "probly". Quite often, we mistakenly add an extra syllable to a word - or, as, in this case - leave one out.
How about the words larvae, cache, and prerogative? Is there a right and a wrong way to say these common words - or is more than one way acceptable?
