Things are changing so fast right now and different rules are in place for different areas across the state of Colorado. We figured it was worth trying to simplify everything to let you know all of the most important information about each county that currently has issued a stay-at-home order to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

As of now, here are the counties across Colorado that have stay-at-home orders currently in place:

  • Adams County -  Begins Thursday, March 26th at 8 a.m. and is expected to last until April 17th. Residents are required to stay at home except for defined essential activities, work, and services.
  • Arapahoe County -  Begins Thursday, March 26th at 8 a.m. and is expected to last until April 17th. Residents are required to stay at home except for defined essential activities, work, and services.
  • Boulder County -  Begins Thursday, March 26th at 8 a.m. and is expected to last until April 17th. Residents are required to stay at home except for defined essential activities, work, and services.
  • City and County of Broomfield -  Begins Thursday, March 26th at 8 a.m. and is expected to last until April 17th. Parks and trails will remain open, provided residents to practice social distancing requirements of 6 feet apart.
  • City and County of Denver -  Began Tuesday, March 24th at 5 p.m. and is expected to last until April 10th. Bars and restaurants are closed except for takeout or delivery, and residents are being asked to stay at home. If residents do need to leave their homes, they are being asked to stay six feet apart.
  • Douglas County -  Begins Thursday, March 26th at 8 a.m. and is expected to last until April 17th. Residents are required to stay at home except for defined essential activities, work, and services.
  • Eagle County -  Began Friday, March 13th and is expected to last until April 17th. All events of more than ten people or more are prohibited. Social distancing recommendations must be met, which includes limiting contact of people within six feet.
  • Jefferson County -  Begins Thursday, March 26th at 8 a.m. and is expected to last until April 17th. Residents are required to stay at home except for defined essential activities, work, and services. Outdoor activities are limited to four people or less as long as social distancing is in place.
  • Pitkin County -  Began Monday, March 23rd at 8 a.m. and is expected to last until April 17th. Residents are asked to stay at home and tourists to leave and avoid the mountain county home to Aspen. All non-essential businesses are closes and open businesses have proper social distancing measures in place.
  • San Miguel County -  Began Wednesday, March 18th and is expected to last at least until April 3rd. This was the first county in the state with a confirmed case of COVID-19. The order directs visitors to leave the county, and non-resident homeowners return to their residence. Businesses are closed except essential services, and restaurants are only open for takeout or delivery.
