6 Things You Need to Do in Colorado
I just moved to Colorado about a month a half ago. I have so much to see and so much to do! Here are six things I've heard so much about and that I can't wait to do. Source: Brandon Thomas
Red Rocks
Before and after I moved here, tons of people told me that I needed to go to this beautiful 738-acre place. Red Rocks Amphitheatre seems to be much more than just a concert venue. A spiritual experience accompanied by music? Yes, please.
Great Sand Dunes National Park
Thirty miles of nothing but sand dunes. Great Sand Dunes National Park is home to a lot of different wildlife like mountain lions, marmots and bison. The dunes are open 24/7 so you're open to going whenever.
Royal Gorge
TheRoyal Gorge is the place to get a 360 view. Gondolas, zip lining, a three-story playland and the highest bridge in the U.S. The Royal Gorge Bridge at 955 feet above the Arkansas River. If you're daring enough, you can get even higher. The Skycoaster lets you freefall at 1,200 feet! The Skycoaster has been deemed "the world's scariest roller coaster," are you down?
Mesa Verde
This place looks unreal! Mesa Verde means "green table," is a trip back in time. 700 years ago this place was the home of the Ancestral Pueblo people. There are over 600 cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde.
Garden of the Gods
Blues skies, snow covered mountains and 300 ft sandstone formations is what you can expect at the Garden of the Gods. Biking, climbing, hiking and even jeep and segway tours are things to do here.
Get Sporty
Whatever kind of sports you're into - Colorado has got it. Football, baseball, hockey, NASCAR, lacrosse, rugby, golfing and even drone racing! I"m excited for my first Broncos games.
