577 Colorado Drivers Arrested During Presidents Day DUI Enforcement
Nearly 600 drivers were busted during the latest 'The Heat is On' campaign conducted with CDOT, the state patrol, and local law enforcement.
With St. Patrick's Day celebrating coming up, it's wise to take a look at how Presidents Day celebrating brought in almost 600 arrests.
This particular 'The Heat is On' enforcement period lasted 11 days. That seems like a long stretch for a 3-day weekend, but those are the facts.
Among the stats, Denver had the most arrests with 110. Colorado Springs came in second with 64. Colorado State Patrol arrested 58.
The next enforcement period will be for St. Patrick's Day, running March 13 through the 18. That's six days to NOT be a statistic the next time a report like this comes out.
For example, maybe you don't want to have four of the $1 Mach drinks at Applebees in Loveland (basically, $1 Long Island Iced Teas) then set out to drive.
Get a ride. They're everywhere. Uber, Lyft. Cabs. Friends.
