5 Reasons To Take In Cinco De Mayo In Downtown Grand Junction

It is time to celebrate! The 36th Cinco De Mayo festival is happening in Downtown Grand Junction May 7th from 10 am to 10 pm. 

Downtown on Main Street in Grand Junction is the place for 12 hours of pure fun and entertainment with the 35th annual Cinco De Mayo celebration!

There are so many reasons to attend this celebration, but I have narrowed it down to my top 5 favorite reasons to go!

1. Amazing Food-You cannot have Cinco De Mayo without amazing food. This celebration will include all your favorites, including a Jalapeno Eating Contest. So if you like it hot and spicy, bring your iron stomach!

2. Dancing-there will be amazing dance performances from The GJ Hip Hop Dancers, Azteca Dancers, Nueva Generación Folklorico Dancers and Arte En Movimiento Folklorico Dancers.

3. Music-Oh the music will be a plenty in downtown for all to enjoy! The West Middle School Orchestra will be performing. Also, there will be singing from Pricilla & Galiela Higuera Singers, and Rocio Leon. There will also be a DJ spinning the tunes to make the mood amazing!

4. Cars! Yep, this year there will be a Solar Car Competition at Kiddy Land!

5. All your friends will be there- There is nothing better than spending the day with friends! Grab some food, beverage, check out the music and party all day with the whole family!
