The main chairlift, the Zephyr Express, at Winter Park was built in 1990 and gave lots and lots of people a lift. The Zephyr Express was torn down over the summer to make room for the new gondola, according to 9News.

These ski lift chairs aren't going to be wasted though, they've been turned into something else. About 40 ski lift chairs have been turned into bus stop benches and are currently all around Winter Park and in Fraser.

They're the most Colorado bus stop benches I've ever seen. The chairs have even been painted by different artists to give them an even cooler look. It's great to see things like old ski lift chairs being reused in such a creative way.

The Zephyr Express is still in use, just in a different way now. Colorado doesn't do boring or wasteful -- here's the proof.
