There should be no surprise to Denver Broncos dramatic fourth-quarter win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have been doing it that way all season long.

The Broncos offense struggled to get anything going most of their day against Pittsburgh. The defense struggled to get pressure on Steeler's quarterback leaving receivers free in secondary. But, in the last half of the final quarter, both sides of the ball came alive.

The defense forced a turnover, the  offense began to move the ball, and the defense clamped down on Rothlisberger.

We should be used to this. This is the way the Broncos have won all season long.

Out of 13 wins this year, the Broncos have trailed in the 4th quarter in eight of them.  In two of the other five wins, they led by just two points in the fourth quarter, and once they led by one point in the fourth quarter before going on to win.

Speaking of comebacks. Three times this season the Broncos rallied from double-digit deficits to win over eventual playoff teams. (Chiefs, Patriots, Bengals)

Three of Denver's wins this season have come in overtime. 13 of their 17 games - win or lose- were decided by a touchdown or less.

Because of the way Denver has won games this year, some may discount their chances of getting to the Super Bowl. But, the fact is, the Broncos have thrived on adverse conditions this season. Why should the playoffs be any different?

Whatever happens going forward, we can expect it's not going to be easy or comfortable. We have to realize the next game will be decided in the fourth quarter based on this season's history. It is going to be a nail-biter.
