There's a study for just about anything including where to find the best Easter celebrations and apparently Colorado isn't one.

The study compiled by WalletHub looked at major cities in every state and the best Colorado city for Easter was Denver at #21.

Before heading down the rabbit hole to other average or less-than-average Colorado cities, it's important to know how WalletHub came up with their findings.

The key areas in the study include:

  • The number of Christians, religious diversity and number of churches per 100,000 residents.
  • Easter traditions including the number of restaurants serving Easter brunch, candy chocolate and flower shops, and the average cost of eggs.
  • The percentage of children age 8 and under and the number of Easter Egg Hunts per 100,000 residents.
  • Easter weather forecast. The study indicates the optimum Easter temperature should be 70 degrees with no rain or snow.

With Denver the best at # 21 in the survey, here's how other Colorado cities fared. Colorado Springs was #45 and also scored as one of the cities with the fewest number of Christians.

Aurora  was #75 and was also one of the worst cities for restaurants catering to Easter diners.

It's not all bad news, though. Approximately 80% of Americans plan on celebrating Easter in some way.

If you really want a city with the best Easter celebration, here are the top 5 places to celebrate. Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Orlando, Cincinnati and Birmingham.
