What Colorado Town Makes Top 10 Best Cities For Families?

There are so many great places to live, work and play in Colorado. Mountains, lakes, city and country living all wrapped up into one great state. Which town/city made the Top 10?

Newser has come out with the top 10 best places for families to live. Colorado has one town that has made that list. Colorado Springs.

The Top 10 list was based on the following criteria.

Home affordability, education and child care, health care and safety, the socioeconomic environment, and what the personal finance site calls "family activities and fun."

So where exactly did Colorado Springs fall in the Top 10? Here is the official list.

1. Overland Park, Kansas
2. Plano, Texas
3. Virginia Beach, Virginia
4. Lincoln, Nebraska
5. Sioux Falls, South Dakota
6. Madison, Wisconsin
7. Fremont, California 
8. Chesapeake, Virginia
9. Colorado Springs, Colorado
10. Grand Prairie, Texas

So our state made 9 out of 10. Still not bad considering how many cities and towns participated across the whole country. I still cast my vote for Grand Junction.
