He was supposed to be taking her home from the emergency room.

Curtis Lee Arganbright, 41, was taking the woman home from the emergency room at St. Anthony's hospital in 2017 when he pulled over to the side of the road, removed the 36-year-old woman from his patrol car while she was handcuffed, and sexually assaulted her on the front bumper of his police car.

The woman had checked herself into the ER due to alcoholism the night before and when she returned the following day, she attempted to steal something from the emergency room, which is why the police were called and Arganbright dispatched.

When Arganbright dropped her off he told her to not mention it to anyone and then gave her his business card and told her to call him sometime.

Arganbright has been sentenced to 90 days in jail and four years probation over the incident. He was arrested for sexual assault using force, false imprisonment and sexual assault by a person in a position of authority.

He had been with the department since 2013.
