Who knew Colorado had so many castles? Shimmering in the sun, Cano's Castle in Antonito, Colo. was the vision of Donald "Cano" Espinoza. He built the odd-looking castle using beer cans, hubcaps and other bits of scrap metal. Espinoza sees his castle as an appreciation for surviving the Vietnam war. You may ask what his main influences were, or not, he says "Vitamin Mary Jane" and Jesus.

Colorado has an admiration of giant blue animals. Located at the Denver International Airport, travellers are greeted by this giant blue mustang with fiery red eyes. Known to most as Blucifer, and may be cursed, the 32-foot tall statue killed its creator after a piece fell on him.

Mingle Among the Aliens

Adding to the already odd list, the UFO Watchtower near Hooper, Colo. is one of those places you need to visit, just to say you've been there. Local rancher Judy Messoline created this oddity so others could see the strange lights that illuminate the skies at night. Believe or not, you'll definitely want to check out all the "vortexes" lined with rocks and junk.
