This Colorado university is offering up free admission for aspiring teachers and community leaders. There are some requirements for that free degree and this is what they are.

Imagine, no student loans -- which sounds pretty amazing to me. The University of Colorado Boulder's School of Education is giving out free college degrees, guaranteed.  In order for high schoolers to receive free admission, here's what they have to do.

Students have to be enrolled in one of the two programs, Teacher Cadet or Pathways2Teaching. According to KRDO students also have to:

  • Complete CU Boulder's application process by January 15
  • Have a weighted high school grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • Earn an ACT composite score of 22 or higher or an SAT score of 1110 or higher
  • Maintain a B- or higher in either Teacher Cadet or Pathways2Teaching courses
  • Meet the university's minimum academic preparation standard curriculum and the Colorado Commission on Higher Education's admissions requirements

This is perfect for students who are considering studying to be a teacher or a community leader. They are currently teacher shortages nationwide and maybe this is part of the solution.
