Two people were robbed this morning in Grand Junction while they were waiting for the bus. The suspects were driving a dark colored sedan and flashed a gun.

According to the Grand Junction Police Department, they received a call about a robbery a little before 5:30 this morning. A woman called stating her 15-year-old son was robbed while waiting for the bus.

Her son was at the bus stop near Independent Avenue and Popular Street when a dark-colored sedan approached him. Two male suspects flashed a handgun and demanded the kid's backpack. After the kid gave them his backpack, the suspects left.

Almost the same thing happened in Fruita this morning too. The Fruita Police Department reported that a victim was robbed near 24 1/2 Road and Brookwillow. It was a similar situation, two male suspects in a dark-colored sedan demanded the victim's backpack. This victim ran away and the sedan drove off.
