Many Coloradans Shocked Over Sudden Closure of Popular, Fun Restaurant
After five years of operation at a spot in Loveland that has been many restaurants and bars, the current owners said goodbye and closed the doors.
Many fun nights of parties, line dancing, trivia, live bands and more had happened at this place on the north side of town; now it sits quiet. Questions remain about "why" they decided to close after five years.
It's hard to name all the things this particular location has been, but it is no longer home to Tilted Barrel Brew Pub. The restaurant/pub announced the news on their Facebook page and with a note on their door on Friday, May 12, 2023.
The original Titled Barrel opened in 2017, but closed after five months. In 2018 it opened again, under new ownership, which had hoped to add a microbrewery. That brewery did not happen, while the new owners ran the establishment until May of 2023.
Oddly enough, when they first launched, the owner of Origins Wine Bar & Wood-Fired Pizza was a consultant. Origins closed earlier in 2023.
OTHER RESTAURANTS THAT HAVE BEEN AT TILTED BARREL'S SPOT
- George's Pizza & Gyros
- Island Grill
- Neighborhood Grill
Having grown up in Loveland, I was at Neighborhood Grill a lot. Island Grill was fun; they had that great huge aquarium. I never got a chance to patronize George's, but heard great things about them. I'd been into Titled Barrel a few times while they were open, for karaoke, lunches, and football games; I like it.

There's chatter that the owners of Tilted Barrel may open a new restaurant in a different location; that would be great. The place had a lot of fans, that's for sure, judging by all the comments on their closure:
Tim, thank you so much for your generous support of Live Music! Tilted Barrel was an amazing place, filled with amazing memories. All the best in your future endeavors! Love you, -- Kerry & Ethan
Loved line dancing there all these years, Tim and Sonja are the BEST!!
What a welcoming special place. And a home-from-home for my Dad, Tony. Thank you for all being so lovely to my family. You are the epitome of hospitality. Chris and I will toast you tonight! Wishing you a bright and wonderful new beginning and hope to see you again. Cheers.
