I know what your thinking. What? The Titanic? It's true, the Titanic is getting ready for it's maiden voyage in 2018.

According to the Metro, a functioning replica of the Titanic -- the Titanic II -- will be ready to set sail in 2018.

Australian billionaire, Clive Palmer, put together this amazing idea. This ship is identical to the original (of course, updated for safety).

The ship has exact measurements 270 meters long and 53 meters high. When it comes to ticket sales, it will be just like back in the day with first, second, and third class tickets.

I had my reservations about this. Of course, that is due to the story behind the Titanic I and the movie that made us all say "I won't let go". The Titanic II will have modern evacuation procedures, satellite controls, digital navigation and radar systems.

It's been a long time since the 1912 voyage of the Titanic I. It is pretty great to think someone has taken the time to bring back a piece of history. I think I would enjoy sailing on this ship, of course, I would make sure that it was  warm where we were sailing. How about you?
