The Colorado Lottery Will Pay For Pics
Have some cool shots of Colorado? They could be worth cash!
I've taken more pictures in the last couple of years since moving here than I have at any time in my life. With so much beauty in and around the Grand Valley, it's easy to find inspiration. If you're like me and have a few photos on your phone, one or more of those random shots could be worth money. The Colorado Lottery is looking for photos that showcase areas that benefit from lottery proceeds. The lottery is specifically looking for shots of..."parks, trails, habitats, playgrounds and recreation centers that have received lottery dollars."
The Colorado Lottery has been around since 1983. Since it's inception many of Colorado's "prize positions" have directly benefited from lottery revenue. The Lottery is prepared to compensate photographers that have shots that could help tell that story. If the Lottery purchases your photos they could wind up being used for... "digital, editorial, social, print, advertising, point of sale, or other purposes." Cool, right?
If you think you have a compelling shot of two the Lottery asks that you submit them by using an online form. You can find out more info on the promotion and the form by clicking HERE. Your photos will need to clearly identify the location. The Lottery Communications Team will review your shots and contact you by email if they deem them worthy.
