Teenager Sentenced to 32 Years in Prison for 2018 Greeley Murder
A judge sentenced a Weld County teenager to 32 years in prison for the 2018 murder of a Greeley man, according to a press release from the Office of the District Attorney.
The incident occurred in July of that year, when 19-year-old Leonardio Biorato shot and killed Edward Joseph Boyle Jr., 45, at the Village Green Apartments in Greeley.
Witnesses near the scene reported hearing two men arguing before a single gunshot went off.
After a lengthy investigation, officers arrested Biorato for murder in December of 2018.
He plead guilty to one count of Murder in the Second Degree, a class 2 felony, in November of 2019.
On top of spending 32 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections, Biorato also received mandatory parole.
