On Sunday night at the Grammy's Taylor Swift opened it up with a performance of her hit song 'Never Ever Getting Back Together.' It was quite the scene as she did a stage performance based off of Alice in Wonderland. I thought the performance was more poppy than country.

Taylor Swifts new album Red is at the top of the Billboard Pop Charts with her hit single 'I Knew You Were Trouble.' Most country radio formats won't play this song from Taylor because it's too "Poppy." I would almost say the same for 'Never Ever Getting Back Together.'

Taylor Swift has also been at the top of the Country Billboard Charts which she has done on five different occasions. She has performed at Major Mortgage Country Jam and other country shows. I feel that Taylor is leaning more towards the Pop side of music rather than country these days, especially in her new album Red. I think in the next few years we will see Taylor doing more songs for her Pop fans than she will for her Country fans.

Can Taylor Swift have the best of both worlds? She has been successful at it thus far. Should Taylor Swifts music be called Country Pop or should it be called Pop Country?
