Alert, alert: Will Smith still has it. The star of the upcoming con man romantic comedy drama (co-ma rom-com-dram?) Focus hit The Late Show last night to chat it up with host David Letterman and, oh, yeah, to just randomly rap “Gettin Jiggy Wit It” alongside Letterman’s own band. Sure, most late night guests just walk out on stage, give a big hello, and sit down, but not Smith, who seemed determined to remind everyone of his rap roots.
Thank goodness for iPad apps. On last night's 'Tonight Show,' host Jimmy Fallon -- who grows more California by the minute, as the show has temporarily relocated to the West Coast -- and guest Will Smith decided to finally give the people what they want: rapping. Well, sort of.
One of Jimmy Fallon's first big moments on The Tonight Show was a performance called "Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing," with the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith.
Last night, Jimmy Fallon officially ushered in a new era of 'The Tonight Show' and, besides a move to New York City, already made the show his own. Can you imagine Jay Leno ever doing The Humpty Dance in a "The Evolution of Hip-Hop Dancing"?
Just a few weeks' time will see the late night landscape dramatically shift, as 'Late Night' host Jimmy Fallon finally takes the 'Tonight Show' throne from Jay Leno, and 'SNL' veteran Seth Meyers joins 'Late Night' in his wake. Fallon has tapped cinema icon Will Smith and Irish rockers U2 for his inaugural 'Tonight Show' gig, but who will join Seth Meyers on the couch?
It's bad enough when you're parents try to embarrass you in front of your friends. It's especially bad when your dad kisses you on the mouth on television.
A couple of nights ago, Will Smith stopped by David Letterman's 'Late Show' to promote his newest film 'After Earth.' But before he did, the one-time Fresh Prince delivered an impromptu summer jam.
Remember when Kanye West encouraged Kim Kardashian to record a single? And how that turned out?
He's now encouraging Will Smith to start rapping again. While that would certainly yield better results, do we really need to relive 'Big Willie Style'?
