We love the new ‘Star Wars’ for all the ways it’s unlike the last ‘Star Wars.’

Hopefully this means the end of the disappointingly ubiquitous #WheresRey hashtag. After forgoing including Rey (the main character) in the cast of figurines Hasbro made for their new Star Wars Monopoly sets, the toy company finally gave in and made a Rey token – but only for certain countries, and nowhere to be found in American toy stores. Their excuse was that American consumers aren’t interested enough in a Rey token for Hasbro to bother with it, which prompted the predictable amount of furious online backlash. Now, it looks like Hasbro has come to its senses.

Last night, J.J. Abrams participated in a Q&A with Chris Rock at the Tribeca Film Festival, where topics ranged from superhero films to lens flares to — inevitably — Star Wars: The Force Awakens. When asked if Rey’s parents are in the film, Abrams basically said no, sending fans into a speculation spiral as they crossed Han Solo, Luke and Leia off their lists and prepared to begin a new chapter in their theorizing. But then Abrams clarified his comments in a later statement, taking us right back to where we started with this whole crazy speculation game.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens had a lasting impact on pop culture in many ways. And now, according to a new report, it also has had an impact on family culture as well. In the months since The Force Awakens opened in theaters babies named Kylo and Rey have spiked dramatically, leaving us all to wonder, What kind of father would name his son Kylo...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes to Digital HD on April 1 and to DVD and Blu-ray on April 5 and it will bring with it seven new deleted scenes of footage you’ve never seen before. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit DVD and Blu-ray on April 5, but if you can’t wait that long, we’ve got good news. Like many big Hollywood releases, Star Wars is coming to iTunes early. You’ll be able to download The Force Awakens on March 15 with special features, including seven new deleted scenes.

Though Star Wars: The Force Awakens takes place over 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, director J.J. Abrams still found a way to work on some classic characters who had long since passed on. Kylo Ren has a conversation with Darth Vader’s helmet. Obi-Wan speaks to Rey during her Force vision. And, there was one additional cameo that ultimately was cut from the film: Yoda.

With Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Adam Driver hosting 2016’s first episode of SNL, a Kylo Ren sketch of some kind was inevitable. After all, you don't get the actor who plays the villain in one of the biggest movies of all time to appear on your comedy variety show and not have him reprise that character. And we'll give the show this much: we never would have predicted a faux episode of Undercover Boss set on Starkiller Base, with the angry, murderous Kylo Ren going undercover amongst his troops as a radar technician named Matt.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens wasn’t going to reign atop the box office forever. Something was going to take it down sooner or later and we’ll just be honest — we expected it would take a little longer than this. At the same time, anyone who thought that Ride Along 2 wouldn’t perform well has a short-term or poor memory, as the first film was a gigantic hit this time last year. An Ice Cube and Kevin Hart buddy cop comedy dethroned the biggest movie in the history of the U.S. box office from the top of the charts and it’s not that surprising.
