The social media embargo lifted on ‘Justice League’ today and reactions are mixed, but call the DCEU team-up loads of fun.

Say what you will about Warner Bros., but they’ve always saved some of their best Justice League footage for Comic-Con. Last year we were treated to our first extended look at the DCEU entry; this year the studio has raised the stakes, giving us some actual footage of the Justice League villain in action. Oh, and this trailer also seems to emphasize the heck out of the world of Wonder Woman - including a scene set entirely in Themyscira - indicating that they know exactly who their most popular superhero is going forward. It’s probably not a coincidence that there’s more Gal Gadot in this trailer than anyone else.

As of late, the DC Extended Universe has had more personnel turnover than a small-town strip joint. Their solo project The Flash lost its director and has yet to wrangle a replacement, the future of Batman turned into one endless, embarrassing game of musical chairs, and now there’s been an unexpected change-up behind the scenes of Justice League. With the November 17 release date a brief five months out, it’s nothing too seismically game-changing, but DC’s upcoming crossover is going to sound a bit different than anticipated.

When Warner Bros. announced their upcoming superhero schedule last year, one title notably missing was a solo Batman movie. Sure, Batman was going to be a big part of both Batman vs. Superman and the two Justice League movies, but would Batfleck be getting his own trilogy, a la The Dark Knight? It turns out, yes, yes he will. Latino Review is reporting that Ben Affleck will both star in and direct the spinoff, titled The Batman, which is set for November 2018.

It seems that the folks over at Warner Bros. are quite pleased with Zack Snyder's work because the studio has just officially signed the 'Man of Steel' and 'Batman vs. Superman' director to direct the upcoming 'Justice League' film, as well. That's going to keep him -- and presumably Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck -- pretty busy for a while.

Despite many attempts, Warner Bros. has yet to get a 'Wonder Woman' movie made.
