What do Colorado outdoor enthusiasts do when the ski season ends? They just grab a surfboard and hit the water.

Surfing in Colorado may not be the most popular sport in the state, but it does exist. The extremely wet winter has produced a tremendous spring runoff - and ideal conditions for surfing in the river.

In this case, it's the Eagle River providing a splash of fun for some guys who want to experience the thrill of surfing without having to leave home.

I have a feeling this is harder than it looks and that water has to be cold.

Western Colorado water enthusiasts who want to safely experience some white water can do some kayaking and paddle boarding - maybe even surfing at the Montrose Water Sports Park.
