Support Grand Junction Business Owner as He ‘Roasts’ Cancer
Western Colorado resident and businessman Dan Welsh (far left) is battling cancer, and you can join the fight. Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 31, is "transplant day" for Dan. His local business invites you to come by and show your support.
Dan is the owner/operator of Colorado Legacy Coffee, located at 1048 Independent Avenue next to Sam's Club in Grand Junction. You've probably seen Dan a thousand times at local events like the Grand Junction Downtown Farmers Market.
On Tuesday, Dan will undergo a transplant. His brother Randy is the donor.
If you would like to show your support, please swing by Colorado Legacy Coffee on Tuesday, get a "Support Dan While He Roasts Cancer" t-shirt, and get your photo taken while wearing the shirt.
Over the years, I've seen Dan and his family supporting many charities and non-profits all across Western Colorado. As a matter of fact, I've called on them a few times to help support some of the efforts I'm involved with. They've donated to support my organization, the Robert "Bob" Grand Memorial Scholarship. You can bet I'll be down there first thing in the morning.
I picked up my t-shirt earlier today. They are brown, come in a wide variety of sizes, and cost a $20 donation. You can bet I will wear it with pride tomorrow.
This is a great event for a wonderful guy who makes a magnificent coffee. Come join the fight against cancer. See you Tuesday.
