Starving Puppies and Tons of Marijuana Plants Bring Arrest to Two
El Paso County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men in southern El Paso County after finding starving puppies and tons of marijuana plants on three different properties.
The two men were 30-year-old Abdiel Delgado and 44-year-old Elieser Curbelo. Both were booked in the El Paso County jail for suspicion of a marijuana-related search warrant.
Delgado was already wanted on an outstanding warrant before his arrest.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Department, deputies and police performed a search warrant on two different homes west of I-25 and more findings found at a third home between El Paso County and Pueblo County.
Authorities seized 300 marijuana plants, four guns, and nine "neglected and emaciated puppies."
The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region went above and beyond rescuing the puppies and the mama from the bottom of a trailer.
On top of the troubles, Delgado and Curbelo were in an animal investigation is now underway as well.
