Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams Want to Make a Movie About Their ‘Very Intense’ Friendship
Sophie Turner revealed she wants to write a movie about her friendship with Game of Thrones co-star and best friend Maisie Williams.
During an interview for Vogue Paris with X-Men: Dark Phoenix co-star Jessica Chastain, the actress opened up about her career goals and how she hopes to write and direct in the future.
“My best friend Maisie, she and I have a very intense friendship, a friendship that I haven’t had with any of my other girlfriends before,” she explained. “We felt like we wanted to write a movie about a friendship where it’s kind of like you’re soulmates, but you’re friends and it’s like this beautiful connection but it can also be quite destructive.”
Though they have yet to get started on the project, Turner said she's prepping for it. “I bought a screenplay writing book!” Turner said. “To teach myself. Because I can’t write well, but I want to. But I’m just not talented enough.”
“You are talented enough!” Chastain reassured her.
Turner and Williams first met on the set of Game of Thrones over 10 years ago, and have been inseparable ever since. Not only did they get matching tattoos, but Turner also recently revealed Williams be her maid of honor at her upcoming wedding to Joe Jonas, which is rumored to take place sometime this summer in France.
The two are what #FrienshipGoals are made of and we seriously hope their movie is made.
