While the snow this week helped to slow the spread of the Cameron Peak Fire, Colorado's largest wildfire continues to burn west of Fort Collins. But, the snow has also created new challenges for fire crews, too.

'Snow levels continue to make access across the entire fire area the biggest challenge,' Cameron Peak Fire officials posted on Facebook. '...As you can imagine, there has been and continues to be an enormous amount of coordinated snow removal along roadways by both the county and private contractors working together.'

An aerial video posted by Cameron Peak Fire officials shows the wildfire still smoldering south of CSU's Pingree Park campus.

Just one week ago, the sky over Fort Collins was darkened by thick smoke and ash, and the Town of Estes Park was evacuating. Even though Cameron Peak and East Troublesome Fires are still active, on Thursday, October 29, Northern Colorado had clear blue skies, and Longs Peak and the Front Range were clearly visible.
