At most sporting events that have a jumbo screen, part of the fun is the Kiss Cam. 2 unknowing people are put on the cam, in front of all of the stadiums spectators and the screen flashes KISS on the screen. The couple kisses, and the crowd goes wild.
According to Tellwut, Syracuse University is in deliberations about it's kissing cam and letting it go after a fan suggested it sends the wrong message at a time when colleges are fighting against campus sexual violence.
Kissing cams have been in the news a lot. In fact, The New York Mets apologized and removed the showing of two opposing players inside of a heart kissing each other as a joke after some fans complained.
